Princeton University Library is seeking a Library Collections Specialist V to handle a variety of responsibilities related to public services, collection assistance, technical support, site monitoring, and informational support. The position will be the primary point-of-contact during evenings and weekends in the Lewis Science Library and Engineering Library, thereby strengthening operations when no other staff members are around. The position is expected to be both an independent contributor with a high level of accountability, because of the evening and weekend hours, as well as a strong team player. The position will also need to be comfortable working in “dotted-line relationships,” reporting to indirect supervisors for specific work areas in addition to the formal supervisor. This position is expected to work on the following five-day schedule (including a one-hour unpaid lunch break) during the Fall and Spring Terms: Sunday: 10am to 6:15pm; Monday to Thursday: 1pm to 9:15pm. During the Summer period (mid-May to late August) and during Recess weeks, the Lewis Science and Engineering Libraries may be closed on weekends. During these periods, the position is expected to have work hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:15pm.
