About The Position

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their team as a Library Branch Manager for the Sunset Library. This position involves working 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends on a rotational basis with branch staff. The role requires a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. The new team member will engage as a critical member of the library leadership team, supervise and oversee daily library branch operations, coordinate assigned library services, and ensure the provision of excellent services to library patrons.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or a related Degree
5 years of general library experience
1 year of supervisory experience
A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Fingerprinted with successful results
Acceptable results from a pre-employment driving record check and reference check

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in library science or a related Degree
3 years of department/branch leadership experience in a public library
Experience in youth, teen, and adult library programming or education

Responsibilities

Supervise and oversee daily library branch operations
