About The Position
The Orange County Library is seeking a Library Associate II for the Southern Library, focusing on Adult Services. This role involves supporting programming, outreach, and community engagement for an assigned age group within the library system. The position operates under the general supervision of a Librarian III or Library Division Supervisor I, allowing for independent judgment within established guidelines. This role does not involve supervision of others. The work location is the Southern Library in Carrboro.
Requirements
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or registered college or university with an associate degree AND one (1) year of work experience related to programming, community engagement, and outreach.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend hours.
- Ability to travel.
Responsibilities
- Supporting programming, outreach, and community engagement for an assigned age group at an Orange County Library.
- Performing related work as assigned.
