Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Assists Library patrons at circulation desk with book returns and checkouts, payment of fines, and completing Library card application and hold request forms. Collects payments. Empties book drop and book collection areas. Organizes books into their Dewey number and shelves them properly. Maintains the order and cleanliness of Library areas and holdings. Opens and prepares Library common areas, computers, office equipment and other search tools. Logs into database statistics of patrons, reference questions and Library usage statistics. Answers the telephone and refers calls to appropriate section. Assist patrons in locating materials and information, both adults and children. Performs other duties as assigned.
