About The Position

Tallahassee State College (TSC) is seeking a dedicated professional for the position of OPS Library Assistant with Library Services. This part-time role involves providing excellent customer service to TSC students, faculty, staff, and the community in the main TSC Library. Responsibilities include directional assistance, managing library materials using the ALMA library management system, maintaining patron records, assisting with minor technology issues, and maintaining library collections through shelving, straightening, shelf reading, shifting, and cleaning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Previous library experience.
• Experience in a post-secondary educational environment.
• Customer service experience, especially on a service desk.
• Technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to TSC students, faculty, staff, and the community.
• Provide directional assistance to resources across the college in person and over the telephone.
• Charge and discharge library materials using the ALMA library management system.
• Maintain patron records.
• Assist with minor technology issues such as printing.
• Maintain library collections including shelving, straightening, shelf reading, shifting, and cleaning.
