The Library Assistant II is responsible for conducting circulation functions in the Legal Information Center. They work under the supervision of Associate-in-Law. This role involves assisting patrons at the Circulation Desk, managing check-ins and check-outs using an integrated online library system, updating patron and bibliographic records, and assisting patrons with locating materials. The position also includes opening and closing the library, monitoring facilities and security, ensuring patron compliance with policies, and assisting with shelving, shelf reading, inventory, and other assigned projects. Additionally, the Library Assistant II coordinates and maintains the UF Law Scholarship Repository and related digital scholarship platforms, communicating with faculty and journals to ensure accurate uploading and organization of scholarship. The role also involves maintaining the collection by filing, shelving, and updating looseleaf services and supplemental materials, and working on other library projects as needed, including policy updates and team projects.
