About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Liaison/MRB Engineer or Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer to join their team. This position will be located full time in Iuka, MS. The role involves assisting with the disposition of withhold supplier tags, designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials, and interfacing with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing, and Manufacturing personnel. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus. This position can be filled at either the Engineer or Principal Engineer level. The opportunity is contingent on program funding, and start dates are determined after funding confirmation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience (for Engineer level) OR a Master's Degree in STEM with no years of experience (for Engineer level).
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of relevant experience (for Principal Engineer level), OR a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience (for Principal Engineer level), OR a PhD Degree with no experience (for Principal Engineer level).
  • Hands on experience in a composites manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with military specs and standards.
  • Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures.
  • Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final U.S. adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
