Job Responsibilities: PURPOSE OF POSITION: The function of the Customer Liaison at a Customer/s manufacturing facility is to inspect and audit any part being used on the line for accuracy and completeness in regard to all customer requirements. They need to ensure clear, concise, timely flow of information between Customer plant and KAMTEK. RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: The Customer Liaison is to communicate any issues the customer has during the shift and inspect or rework suspect product to meet customer requirements. Communicate with QC, QE, SQE and Leadership to find resolution to concerns. At the end of each shift needs to report findings in reference to any concerns to Kamtek. THE CUSTOMER LIAISON WILL BE LOCATED AT THE CUSTOMER LOCATION, NOT KAMTEK. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS: 1) Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies. 2) Understand and promote Magna’s philosophies (Magna’s Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee’s Charter). 3) Perform containment of any non-conforming product, and arrange assistance as needed. 4) Perform rework on non-conforming product to customer’s requirements and arrange assistance as needed. This rework includes E-Coat Finish, straightening or other processes to bring part to specifications. 5) Provide feedback of potential concerns at customer 6) Support Root Cause analysis on defects. 7) Issue Quality Alerts when requested by the customer for nonconforming product. 8) Perform audits on the floor- check parts to ensure meet all Customer Specific Requirements. 9) Provide direction for associates / contractors who help with containment, sorts, rework and tracking. 10) Attend customer product review meetings (e.g. Black Body Reviews / Horseshoe / VOCA / GFP / CIPA audits), and represent KAMTEK to report back findings 11) Provide a daily shift report of issues to KAMTEK Quality Engineers, Management 12) Promotes good housekeeping (5S) 13) Perform other duties as required. POSITION REQUIREMENTS SKILL (Ability to do the job) •Knowledge and understanding of customer-specific requirements •Must have good organizational skills. •Must be proficient in computer operations. •Must exhibit high integrity and honesty. •Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret internal procedures, documents and processes, internal and customer requirements, flow diagrams, and business correspondences. •Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups. •Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. •Must be able to work well individually or in a team environment, effectively interacting with all levels of the organization. •Project management skills to work on several projects at once, driving each to completion. •Ability to view all aspects of the system, seeing how each aspect interrelates within the organization PHYSICAL DEMANDS Some of the physical demands of this position include the ability to lift 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time, and occasional bending or stooping. EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED Some of the equipment and tools used are: a computer, Checking fixtures, caliper, micrometer, Indicator, personal protective equipment, various hand tools for straightening purposes KNOWLEDGE EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required, Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience TECHNICAL TRAINING: · Core Tools · Root Cause · Basic Metal Finish Skills · Dimensional Print Reading Experience, GD&T · Proven track record in cosmetic, functional testing and dimensional inspections OTHER: Experience with basic Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success. Requirements
