About The Position

This position is for an LHS Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach. The role requires a college degree, with a teacher license being preferred but not mandatory. Previous coaching experience at the high school level, particularly with varsity teams, is preferred. The coach must possess highly effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and be able to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the community. Experience with strength and conditioning programs is also necessary. The coach will be responsible for player development across various levels (high school, middle school, youth league), providing proper instruction in skills and strategies, and understanding financial and budgeting processes. Proficiency or willingness to learn technology related to coaching software (Hudl, Max Preps, Final forms, Event Link) is required. A thorough understanding of NFHS and IHSAA coaching rules and policies is essential. The ideal candidate will be a positive role model and motivator, dedicated to equipment management, athlete safety, academic progress, and participation numbers.

Requirements

  • College degree
  • Experience coaching at the High School Level with Varsity High School coaching experience preferred.
  • Highly Effective Leadership, Organizational, and Communication skills required.
