Avers Home is a Transitional Living Program (TLP) that provides queer youth ages 14-17 the support they need to transition into independent living after many have faced neglect or rejection from family members over their identities. About the Role Be a champion for safe, affirming care. As the LGBTQ Site Coordinator, you'll lead the Transitional Living Program at our Avers Home – the first foster care home for LGBTQ+ youth in the state of Illinois - helping them build independent living skills and access trauma-informed support. In this highly relational role, you ' ll supervise a team, set the tone for a youth-guided environment, and collaborate across disciplines to support each resident ' s success.
