About The Position

Barrett Petfood is hiring a full-time Skilled Operator for an onsite role in Little Falls, Minnesota. The operator performs hands-on work in pet food manufacturing, operating and maintaining production equipment and helping ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications. The role involves working with the Meat Room and Mill, setting up and operating the extruder, monitoring and testing product, and troubleshooting equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Pay is $22.50–$26 per hour, plus a $3 shift differential.

Responsibilities

Operate the plant and its production equipment.
Work with the Meat Room and Mill to ensure product meets specifications.
Set up, operate, and clean the extruder used for pet food production.
Inspect product to ensure it meets customer specifications for density and size.
Operate the dryer and test kibble.
Operate the Vertical Cooler and mix and add palatants to kibble.
Troubleshoot equipment to keep product within specifications.
Clean under and around plant machinery.
Collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and safety.
