About The Position

The Vice President (VP) will provide Global Leveraged Loans portfolio management, trading, and credit analysis activities across Leveraged loans and Private Credit portfolios within Global Credit Finance. Through partnering closely with the Bank’s strategic Private Markets clients, the VP will structure and analyze Private Credit transactions, including bilateral transactions. As the Leveraged Loans portfolio manager, this role has responsibility for ongoing decision making around portfolio names and exposure levels, as well as ongoing risk and surveillance processes in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The role partners closely with Treasury, Risk Management and Investor Relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in leveraged loans, private credit, structured credit, or related credit markets.
  • Experience supporting portfolio management and/or trading activities within a regulated financial institution.
  • Demonstrated credit analysis and underwriting experience.
  • Working knowledge of loan documentation, covenants, and loan market conventions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Team player who is transparent and focused on collaboration across the Bank

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CFA® designation or progress toward completion.
  • Experience supporting private credit or alternative lending strategies.
  • Familiarity with bank regulatory, risk management, and governance frameworks.
  • Exposure to CLOs, investment adviser lending, or structured credit products.

Responsibilities

  • Global portfolio management execution for the Leveraged Loan portfolio, including monthly performance analysis, monitoring, and reporting
  • Monitor portfolio exposures, market conditions and liquidity, and provide recommendations to support portfolio positioning and risk management
  • Build strategic relationships across the firm in order to support institutional growth on the Private Credit servicing and lending portfolios
  • Execution of fundamental credit analysis across both private credit and BSL including financial statement review and capital structure assessment
  • Management and development of staff in order to support underwriting activities for new transactions, amendments, refinancings, and restructurings
  • Present to Credit Committee as warranted for credit surveillance watchlist, exceptions to guidelines
  • Conduct ongoing credit surveillance, including monitoring of covenant compliance, ratings actions, and emerging credit risks
  • Support adherence to internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to support effective risk oversight.
  • Preparation and Presentation of materials for senior risk committees and governance forums
  • Escalate identified risks or issues and solutions proactively and transparently in order to mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Treasury, Operations, Finance, Risk, Legal, Operations, among others.
  • Engage with external counterparties, including banks and asset managers, to support transaction execution and market awareness.
  • Contribute to internal portfolio and market updates for management review.
