About The Position

The Level I Tech/IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing equipment inventory, asset tracking, device lifecycle management, and technical support activities. This role ensures the accurate movement, documentation, deployment, repair, return, and disposal of IT assets while supporting operational needs across multiple departments and locations. The position also provides frontline end-user support, assists with Tech Bar coverage, and partners with technical teams and vendors to maintain efficient and reliable IT operations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily transportation of equipment for transfers, redeployment, and disposal activities.
Create and process the majority of outgoing asset transfer orders from the main campus location.
Verify inventory deliveries and pickups by ensuring equipment matches associated documentation.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain availability of essential hardware, including G9 Minis, keyboards, mice, and other standard accessories.
Receive departmental equipment shipments and ensure delivery to the appropriate end user or department.
Maintain accurate asset records within ServiceNow and other asset management systems.
Document equipment receipt, transfers, and status changes throughout the asset lifecycle.
Update asset statuses to reflect current inventory availability and transfer activity.
Record equipment pickup details and maintain complete tracking documentation.
Manage and process requests within the INV-Parts/FSR queue.
Ensure asset records accurately reflect the physical location and status of equipment.
Provide Tech Bar support during periods of high demand or when primary technicians are unavailable.
Assist walk-in customers with laptop, mobile device, and general technical support requests.
Deliver customer-focused support while maintaining efficient issue resolution.
Process and document all returned assets through established transfer procedures.
Track returned equipment to ensure proper handling, documentation, and inventory reconciliation.
Support warehouse operations by maintaining accurate equipment records and inventory accountability.
Assist field technicians with inpatient support requests during periods of increased workload.
Provide weekend or evening coverage when needed to support emergency operational requirements.
Collaborate with technical teams to maintain service continuity across supported locations.
Track and document all Lexmark printers processed through the inventory area.
Maintain records including printer location, MAC address, and serial number.
Coordinate printer shipments and deliveries with Shipping and Receiving.
Communicate with vendors regarding printer profiling and deployment requirements.
Manage return and repair (RMA) processes for scanners, Microsoft Surface devices, Zebra printers, and other supported equipment.
Create and process RMA tasks within HAM Workspace for equipment requiring repair or replacement.
Monitor repair activity and maintain accurate documentation throughout the RMA lifecycle.
Ensure repaired or replacement equipment is properly tracked and accounted for upon return.
Support inventory control, asset management, device deployment, vendor coordination, and technical support functions.
Maintain accurate records while managing a high volume of equipment movement across multiple locations.
Ensure equipment is available, properly assigned, and delivered in a timely manner to support business operations.
Track assets throughout their complete lifecycle, including receiving, deployment, transfer, return, repair, disposal, and redeployment.
Provide cross-functional support during peak workloads, staff absences, and emergency situations.
Contribute to improved inventory accuracy, stronger asset accountability, and efficient equipment distribution across the organization.
