MSX is seeking a Level 2 Automotive Technician to join their team. This role offers a move away from the retail automotive environment into a corporate setting with defined hours, career growth opportunities, consistent pay, and full benefits. The technician will support media events, provide technical assistance for product quality and engineering, and investigate warranty and test parts. Key responsibilities include validating labor times for labor time guides, assisting engineers with Labor Time Study (LTS), and developing repair solutions. The role involves performing complex repairs on fleet vehicles, service department test vehicles, and new model prototypes. The technician will also provide technical support for vehicle quality improvement activities, manage parts orders, and create repair orders for all vehicle work. Additionally, the technician will maintain knowledge of recalls and service campaigns, document findings for Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), and prepare vehicles for various departmental uses including VIP, marketing, media, and special events. The role also includes supervising the preparation of vehicles for specific departmental uses, monitoring and training other technicians, and ensuring high-quality standards and safety protocols are followed. The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and perform detailed daily record keeping is essential. Travel may be required.
