About The Position

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Position Summary: Perform electrical testing on production units in accordance with approved test procedures and product specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve simple issues related to test setups and test fixtures to ensure accurate and efficient test operations.

Requirements

  • At least two years of technical or Trade school (CCNY)
  • Basic knowledge of using Microsoft office tools such as Word and Excel.
  • RF production testing environment or outside technical related experience
  • Ability to read, write and orally communicate in English.
  • Basic computer skills to use department database and other related software.
  • Tuning, adjusting unit’s transformer wires per documented procedures.
  • Perform production assignments independently with minimal on the job training.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with ISHIHARA test for color blindness.
  • Ability to move test equipment occasionally (when required) for setup preparation or during test equipment Calibration cycle.
  • Work independently while coordinating with Department Team Leaders to troubleshoot and resolve test-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Communicate clearly and provide feedback to Team Members to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and hands-on assistance to Team Members to ensure efficient test operations.
  • Maintain flexibility to support production demands using multiple production workstations
  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ability and willingness to abide by Company’s Code of Conduct
  • Ability to work extra hours including Saturdays if requested
  • Work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Prepare test setups and perform electrical testing using approved production test programs in accordance with documented procedures and specifications.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to verify product functionality and performance.
  • Verify that the test workstation is ESD-compliant prior to beginning any work assignments.
  • Ensure all testing activities comply with safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Properly identify, segregate, and process all nonconforming products in accordance with established procedures.
  • To complete a test failure report if applicable
  • To document all completed production run information per procedure
  • Save all required test data to the network
  • Support Environmental test activities including, but not limited to, Thermal Cycling, Amplifier Burn-In, Power Handling, and Hi-Pot testing as required.
  • Identify discrepancies in test-related documentation and initiate or support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Maintain organized test areas, ensuring proper care and upkeep of test equipment, fixtures and accessories.
  • Responsible to keep the work area neat and clean in accordance with department 5’s policies.
  • Provide support to team members in preparing test setups as needed, within the scope of assigned technical knowledge.
  • Verify that all accessories are clean and usable in accordance with CP-8001 prior to use.
  • Return test fixtures to designated hold area and properly maintain unused accessories.
  • Verify and document accurately the required production and test data upon completion of each production run.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the Manager or Team Leader.
