About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Level 1 Med Aide (L1MA) or Certified Med Tech (CMT) to join their team at Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, Missouri. This role involves administering medications as prescribed and documenting their effectiveness and any adverse reactions or side effects, under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or their designee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years).
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

• L1MA’s - preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification & Insulin certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).
• CMT’s – required to have current active status of Certified Medication Technician (CMT), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Insulin certification on the Missouri State Registry (mo.tmutest.com)
• If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities
