The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Emory University Department of Pediatrics seek a clinician to join the Leukemia and Lymphoma Program. The role is primarily clinical, with at least 80% clinical effort and additional administrative duties; the remaining time includes research and teaching. The clinician will care for pediatric leukemia and lymphoma patients at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center at Arthur M. Blank Hospital, serving on the inpatient service, providing weekly outpatient clinic care, and intermittently working in the sedation and procedure suite. The position also supports education and training across the pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation Division. The successful candidate will continue developing research, quality, teaching, and administrative activities in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Program under the mentorship of program leader Dr. Sharon Castellino and other faculty. The role includes seeking and maintaining extramural funding. After an initial four-year start-up period, Emory School of Medicine expects 65% of research FTE to be covered by extramural funding. Collaboration opportunities span Emory and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Winship Cancer Institute, Emory basic science departments, the Rollins School of Public Health, the American Cancer Society, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Employment will be in the Emory + Children's Pediatric Institute, an affiliation between Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Position tasks must be performed in person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option. Salary and academic rank—Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor—will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
