LEO Lecturer I - NUR 202 (Health Assessment - Lab) - Fall 2026 - School of Nursing (Onsite)
About The Position
The UM-Flint School of Nursing has two LEO Lecturer openings for the fall 2026 semester, teaching NUR 202 (Health Assessment - Lab). NUR 202-04 is scheduled to run on Mondays from 1:30 - 3:30 pm in the traditional program. NUR 202-08 is scheduled to run on Wednesdays from 1:30 - 3:30 pm in the accelerated program. This course deals with nursing assessment of the physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual systems of the adult individual. Students utilize and expand their assessment skills. This is a face-to-face (on-campus) lab course in the School of Nursing's Simulation Center. This will be a 14-week course, starting August 24, 2026 and ending December 12, 2026.
Requirements
- Minimum of a MSN.
- Previous experience teaching pre-licensure undergraduate students, particularly in their first semester, is required.
- Unencumbered RN license in the state of Michigan or eligibility to apply.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience teaching health assessment to pre-licensure undergraduate students.
- Doctorate in nursing or related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Teach NUR 202 (Health Assessment - Lab) to pre-licensure undergraduate students.
- Utilize and expand student assessment skills in the physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual systems of the adult individual.
- Conduct lab sessions in the School of Nursing's Simulation Center.
