About The Position

SC State Credit Union is hiring a Lending Specialist to help members achieve their financial goals by providing service and tailored financial solutions. The role focuses on lending, providing loan training, and assisting loan and branch personnel with loan issues, maintenance, and processing. The Lending Specialist reviews loans to help ensure quality and compliance with loan policies, trains staff on lending policies, procedures, systems, and processes, and supports regulatory compliance and accurate recordkeeping.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a consumer lending environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, particularly with loan applications and recordkeeping.
• Customer-centric mindset and ability to understand and act on available and retained information.
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented approach and positive attitude.

Responsibilities
