About The Position

The City of Newnan is looking for a full-time Leisure Services Coordinator for our new Leisure Services Department. This role will assist with the overall management and operation of community facilities and events. Requirements

• University Degree or Certificate in Leisure Services/Recreation or related field and Minimum of 1 year experience in coordinating public facilities or Equivalent experience and education
• Be a highly motivated team player
• Considerable knowledge of facilities, operations and techniques used in a community recreation program
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, community leaders and the general public
• Effective organizing skills

Responsibilities

• Respond to public inquiries regarding programs and facilities
• Schedule and execute tours of parks and facilities
• Assist in promoting city sponsored programs, events, and rental facilities
