The intern will work in the Texas Farm Bureau State Legislative Office (located in Austin, Texas) during the 2027 Regular Session of the Texas Legislature. In this role, they will work closely with the Government Affairs team to support legislative initiatives that advance Texas agricultural producers and rural communities. In doing so, they will gain valuable experience in the legislative process and see the impact of membership organizations. The intern will also have the opportunity to assist with the Texas Agriculture Council (TAC) throughout the legislative session, enabling them to maximize networking opportunities and develop lasting professional connections within Texas' legislative and agricultural advocacy communities. TAC is a collaborative network of agricultural advocacy organizations that coordinates policy and advocacy efforts and facilitates information sharing on issues affecting the agricultural community. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the state legislative process. Creating an opportunity for exposure to public policy, state government, and advocacy, while building professional skills.
