About The Position
State Representative Jose Alvarez is now accepting applications in his Kissimmee, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature. The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package. This position is not eligible for virtual work.
Requirements
- An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.
- Calendar and Scheduling
- Constituent Management
- Legislative Research
- Legislative Process
- Public Relations and Press Releases
- Stakeholder Relations
- Designated Tallahassee Staff during Committee Weeks and Session and Travel System
- Mandatory Trainings as Assigned
