About The Position

This role provides essential support for litigation matters. The Legal Support Specialist will assist attorneys and paralegals in managing case files, organizing documents, and ensuring smooth workflow within the litigation team. This position is crucial for maintaining efficiency and accuracy in legal proceedings.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proven experience as a legal assistant or legal support staff.
Strong understanding of litigation procedures and legal terminology.
Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
Experience with e-discovery platforms.
Notary Public certification.
Bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys and paralegals with case management and document organization.
Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in accordance with court rules and deadlines.
Manage and maintain physical and electronic case files.
Coordinate with court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients.
Conduct legal research and fact-finding as directed.
Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management and witness coordination.
Process and manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
Maintain calendars and track deadlines for litigation matters.
