The Legal Support Paralegal – Contracts is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and managing customer, vendor, and corporate contracts and leases to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. This role serves as a key liaison between the legal department, internal teams, and external parties, providing guidance on contract-related policies and supporting attorneys in various legal matters.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a contract analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong understanding of contract law, contract types, and legal terminology.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, business, legal studies, or related field (paralegal degree or legal certification is a plus).
  • Knowledge of transportation industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in legal and contract management platforms, including Thomson Reuters - Legal Tracker, Lexion, DocuSign, and the Adobe Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews customer, vendor, SaaS, corporate contracts, leases, outlining key issues identifying potential risks.
  • Recommends changes to contract language where necessary.
  • Communicates updates to all internal stakeholders as contract progresses toward final version.
  • Manages the full contract lifecycle management (CLM) process, maintaining the contract repository in Lexion and leveraging Adobe and Docusign for drafting, execution, and tracking.
  • Manages and monitors contract deadlines, renewals, extensions, and close-outs.
  • Keeps accurate documentation and audit trails for internal and regulatory use.
  • Serves as a central liaison between the Legal Department, internal business units, and external stakeholders.
  • Works alongside attorneys, sales, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Provides training and guidance to employees on contract-related policies and procedures.
  • Supports attorneys managing litigation, corporate, risk management, and other Legal department matters.
  • Assists in litigation support, including managing discovery processes and preparing, reviewing, and coordinating responses to Requests for Production (RFPs), Requests for Admission (RFAs), and related materials.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
