About The Position

Under attorney supervision, the Legal Specialist will support the Company’s Litigation and Labor & Employment team within the Legal and External Affairs (LEA) department. This individual will assist team attorneys supporting Clorox business units and functions by managing and coordinating a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to claims management, financial reporting, project management, and general administrative support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years as a Paralegal, Specialist, Analyst, Project Management, or equivalent experience working in-house at a publicly traded company or law firm preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple applications to obtain and synthesize the desired information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, Brightflag or other e-billing applications, SAP, Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, Adobe, and prior hands-on eDiscovery experience (i.e., EDRM/information governance fluency, Microsoft Purview, Exterro, or other similar applications).
  • Excellent attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player—ability to work with others directly or indirectly, with clear communication, and a strong desire to produce a high-quality work product.
  • Ability to interact politely and professionally in a demanding environment.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Independent personality that can prioritize, manage, and own tasks assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • advanced degree or training preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Relevant subject matter certifications (i.e., eDiscovery, project management, Labor & Employment (SHRM), etc.)
  • Legal application implementation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage records requests from end-to-end including identifying relevant custodians, data collection, document review, and production
  • Navigate internal procedures and applications to issue settlement and vendor payments
  • Facilitate legal hold obligations and eDiscovery requests by issuing legal hold notices, preserving, collecting, reviewing, and exporting data for traditional litigation, internal investigations, and HR inquiries
  • Work with eDiscovery vendors and outside counsel on large-scale discovery initiatives, including project scoping and implementation, engagement and SOW documentation, and day-to-day project oversight
  • Serve as liaison between Clorox Legal, Clorox IT Teams, and external vendors to facilitate data collection, transfer, analysis, and support for third-party applications
  • Assist attorneys with case management, including opening, tracking and closing matters, case setup and monitoring, distributing Service of Process to the responsible teams and attorneys, and legal contingency reporting
  • Lead the development and maintenance of data metrics and analytics for litigation, labor employment programs
  • Perform general and docket research utilizing publicly available databases.
  • General administrative support including case file maintenance, vendor invoice inquiries, gatekeep requests from business units and other Clorox departments, and a variety of troubleshooting tasks
  • Support employee training and Workday implementation
