About The Position

The Legal Secretary will play a key role within the AriZona Beverages Legal Department, providing essential assistance to in-house counsel, paralegals and collaborating with businesspeople throughout the Company. This position involves a variety of tasks and practice areas, including, but not limited to, contracts, litigation, HR/employment matters, class actions, trademarks, leasing, compliance, licensing, regulatory matters and additional matters handled by the Legal Department. The Legal Secretary will support the efficiency and organization of the Legal Department by diligently handling matters, managing deadlines and providing administrative support to in-house counsel, paralegals and other staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with local, state and federal laws, rules, regulations and court procedures.
  • Strong experience with legal billing and invoicing.
  • Advanced computer skills, including using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe.
  • Working knowledge of and experience using Legal Practice Management Software.
  • Strong ability to work well within a team, complete tasks independently, multi-task and work under strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, organized and results-oriented individual.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Attention to all practice areas referenced in the Summary section above.
  • Provide administrative support to the Legal Department by establishing, organizing and maintaining files, calendars and deadlines, in addition to project and task management.
  • Responsible for the processing and tracking of legal billing and invoicing.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal Company departments to facilitate communication and support the achievement of Company goals.
  • Communicate with outside counsel and consultants to navigate, facilitate, address and monitor complex matters.
  • Conduct investigations, research and analysis of legal claims and matters.
  • Prepare legal documents, including, but not limited to, contracts (Distributor, Supply, Vendor Agreements, etc.), correspondence, memos, charts and timelines.
