We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary with at least two years of civil litigation experience and a strong understanding of California court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation deadlines. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal secretarial experience in a civil litigation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules, filing procedures, and litigation calendaring.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments, DocuSign, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, including hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, travel, and client appointments.
  • Coordinate scheduling with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.
  • Prepare, proofread, format, and electronically file legal documents in state and federal courts.
  • Monitor court deadlines and maintain accurate calendaring and case management records.
  • Maintain organized electronic files and case documents within NetDocuments.
  • Assist with client communications, correspondence, and general case administration.
  • Coordinate logistics for depositions, mediations, trials, and other litigation-related events.
  • Support attorneys with billing, new matter intake, and other administrative functions as needed.
