About The Position

Stevens & Lee is a large, full-service law firm with a significant presence across the country. The Legal Recruiting & Integration Specialist is a crucial role focused on managing the entire lifecycle of associate recruitment and ensuring a smooth onboarding process. This position collaborates with practice group leaders, shareholders, and administrative staff to attract, onboard, and retain top associate talent. Additionally, the specialist provides operational and strategic support for shareholder recruiting and integration efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-5 years' experience supporting legal recruiting in a law firm environment.
  • Experience with lawyer integration and/or professional development programs.
  • Familiarity with legal recruiting markets, external recruitment professionals, and industry compensation structures.
  • Experience using ATS and/or HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized; detail-oriented.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours during high volume recruiting periods, including attending evening events.
  • Ability to engage candidates and represent the firm in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of associate recruiting, including lateral associates, entry-level associates, law students, and other lawyer or client-facing professional hires as assigned.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for associate candidates throughout the recruiting and interview process.
  • Facilitate relationships with external legal recruiters, including providing recommendations on their utilization.
  • Facilitate relationships with potential candidates.
  • Oversee candidate pipelines, job postings, and the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Schedule interviews with shareholders, associates, and other client-facing professionals across multiple offices and practice groups.
  • Prepare interview materials and candidate summaries.
  • Make recommendations to firm leadership regarding candidate offers.
  • Prepare offers, manage approvals, and handle internal communication in collaboration with firm leadership.
  • Direct law school campus recruiting initiatives, including managing the firm's summer associate program and recommending schools for recruitment.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting and onboarding data, including regular reporting on associate recruiting activity, hiring timelines, and integration outcomes.
  • Track integration milestones and proactively address any integration challenges.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for shareholder recruiting initiatives, including interview coordination and candidate communications.
  • Assist with onboarding and execution of shareholder integration plans in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Support the preparation of recruiting materials and shareholder hiring and integration data.
