About The Position

Huntington's internship programs provide emerging talent with meaningful, hands‑on experience aligned to their area of study. Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. The experience also includes immersion in Huntington’s award‑winning culture through community involvement and team‑based activities. Internships at Huntington are designed to help students build a strong foundation for future career success while contributing to meaningful business initiatives. The Legal team is seeking: Rising 3L (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Enterprise Internship Program, an 11-week, role-aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands-on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full-time opportunities. All interns participate in a variety of developmental and professional activities designed to support learning and exposure to the organization. The employment law team is looking for a 3L to assist with legal research, preparing memos, reviewing and interpreting legal documents while supporting attorneys and paralegals as needed. The Legal Intern will have the opportunity to observe various legal proceedings, including court arguments, depositions, mediations, and client meetings. Within the Legal team, interns gain exposure to internal and external counsel. A focus for the law clerk intern is introductions and networking with several premier law firms across our footprint, where Huntington is a prominent client.

Requirements

  • High School graduate
  • Enrolled in JD program at accredited law school, preferably going into the 3L year
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience within a law firm, clerking, or doing legal research
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
