About The Position

The District Attorney's Office is seeking recent law school graduates for a paid internship/fellowship. This position is for individuals who have completed law school and have taken the July 2026 Colorado Bar exam. Interns will be responsible for drafting motions, conducting research, and assisting during trials. Internships are available at both the Loveland and Fort Collins locations. The office anticipates hiring two recent graduates into full-time (40 hours/week) positions. A cover letter addressed to Amanda Duhon, Chief Deputy District Attorney, is required.

Requirements

  • Must have completed law school.
  • Must have taken the July 2026 Colorado Bar exam.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • An interest in courtroom work.
  • Familiarity with common legal research techniques.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting attorneys in assigned courtrooms or units with various tasks.
  • Working closely with Deputy District Attorneys to gain hands-on experience.
  • Observing and learning the role of a practicing prosecutor.
  • Drafting motions.
  • Doing research.
  • Assisting during trials.
