Requirements

  • Strong interest in patents and intellectual property law
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive and professional attitude, including dependability and timeliness
  • Ability to research legal and business issues and learn new concepts quickly
  • Experience with online research tools, as well as Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and Bloomberg
  • Working towards a graduate law degree (JD or LLM) at an accredited law school with a strong academic record; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply.
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 6 months between September 2026- December 2026.

Responsibilities

  • legal research on licensing and patent infringement/enforcement issues
  • analyses of the patent litigation landscape and litigation prep
  • assisting with license compliance matters
  • assisting business in understanding contractual requirements and applicable legal landscape
  • developing and implementing improved policies and processes for the legal department
