About The Position

Sony Corporation of America (“SCA”) is seeking a Spring 2027 law student intern to support the Legal, Ethics & Trust Department. This is a paid internship and the intern will assist lawyers in transactional, litigation and corporate matters. SCA’s law student intern program is designed to provide the intern with hands-on training in a real-world environment of an in-house legal department. Assignments will vary and may include researching and drafting memos, reviewing agreements and other legal documents, and attending client meetings and negotiations. Interns will work in person 1-2 days per week from the NYC office and remotely for approximately 15-20 hours/week.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA.
  • Available to work starting January 2027 until the end of the Spring 2027 semester.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • If applicant is seeking course credit, such applicant must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school internship/externship or clinical program.
  • Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/background/course work/other indicia of interest in the fields of technology, media, or similar industries.
  • Prior law firm/judicial internship or related internship experience is a plus.
  • Experience in discreetly handling confidential information preferred.
