About The Position

Snell & Wilmer is seeking a legal technologist to join the firm’s Innovation & AI team. The Legal Innovation Analyst is an attorney-facing role that supports the day-to-day administration, adoption, and continuous improvement of the firm’s portfolio of AI-enabled tools and related innovation initiatives. You will support the Innovation & AI Team with management of vendor relationships and AI applications, user access, intake coordination and initial vetting of new AI workflow requests, training and change-management efforts for attorneys and business professionals, and reporting on usage, spend, and adoption metrics. The role works closely with colleagues in Innovation, IT, Attorney Talent, Marketing, practice groups, and third-party vendors to help ensure the firm’s AI tools are effective, well-governed, and aligned with business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, project management, legal studies, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience i n a law firm legal operation, legal technology, legal project management role, or a related analytical or professional services environment .
  • Experience supporting software and tools, product operations, practice innovation, knowledge management, training and adoption, business analysis, or similar operational functions.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate business needs into practical workflows and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong client-service mindset and consultative approach when working with attorneys and business professionals.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, and reporting on operational data, adoption metrics, or usage trends; comfort with Excel and presentation or reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, sound judgment, and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and become a power user of firm-approved AI tools.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and care when handling confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of legal terminology, matter workflows, or practice support functions.
  • Experience with vendor management, pilot coordination, license administration, training delivery, or change-management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI or legal technology platforms such as Harvey, Microsoft Copilot or comparable tools.
  • Exposure to low-code or no-code automation, prompt development, dashboarding, or basic scripting and API concepts.
  • JD, LL.M., paralegal certification, or comparable legal training.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as day-to-day operational support for the firm’s AI-enabled products and innovation initiatives.
  • Provide frontline support for AI tools, including troubleshooting, testing, issue tracking, feedback collection, and follow-up with internal teams or vendors.
  • Monitor pilots and production use; track adoption, utilization, and other key metrics; and prepare dashboards, summaries, or reports for Innovation leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Administer the firm’s AI tool portfolio, including user provisioning, seat assignments, access requests, group management, onboarding and offboarding, and license utilization monitoring.
  • Manage day-to-day vendor coordination, including scheduling check-ins, tracking issues and enhancement requests, supporting pilots, and helping coordinate renewals and rollout plans.
  • Develop and maintain user-facing materials, including quick-reference guides, FAQs, templates, best practices, and other adoption resources.
  • Support coordination of training, demonstrations and CLEs in partnership with practice groups, Attorney Talent, and relevant committees, including the Attorney Development Committee.
  • Support intake for new AI workflow and use-case requests by gathering requirements, documenting business goals, performing preliminary triage, and routing requests to the appropriate stakeholders for review.
  • Support AI budget administration through license tracking, spend monitoring, invoice and renewal coordination, and basic budget and vendor reporting.
  • Stay current on legal AI capabilities and market developments and recommend process, documentation, or tool improvements that enhance user experience and operational efficiency
