Requirements

  • LLB, JD, or equivalent legal qualification.
  • 2-3 years of experience practicing as a corporate lawyer (at a law firm, in-house, or advising VC-backed companies).
  • Demonstrated exposure to venture financings, equity compensation, or corporate governance work (e.g., grant packages, board and shareholder consents, cap tables, option plans, secondaries).
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly adopt new software and be hands-on with a product.
  • A proactive and ownership-driven mindset, willing to take on broad responsibilities in an early-stage company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with equity management platforms.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdiction equity plans, global entities, or mobile-employee tax issues.
  • Background in startup law, venture financing, or equity compensation structures.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in legal practice.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives as the legal domain expert during the sales cycle.
  • Lead technical product demonstrations and deep-dive sessions.
  • Map current equity and governance processes for prospects and illustrate how they translate to Slice.
  • Communicate customer feedback and insights directly to Product and R&D teams.
  • Own the post-sales customer relationship with founders, CFOs, general counsels, and equity administrators.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including migration, data reconciliation, and validation against source documents, to ensure customers are live and self-sufficient.
  • Collaborate with GCs and CFOs to build grant, approval, and exercise workflows on live matters within the Slice platform.
  • Translate customer needs and practical requirements into concrete feedback for Product and R&D.
  • Develop customer-facing content, including guides and playbooks, to streamline future implementations.
  • Cultivate long-term customer relationships to ensure successful adoption and retention.
