About The Position

Equall is building the legal infrastructure for the private markets, creating a new system for verifying, tracking, and managing corporate legal reality. Our AI-native platform extracts, structures, and reconciles corporate legal information, producing auditable outputs like cap table tie-out reports, governance dashboards, and personnel summaries grounded in source documents. Equall executes workflows end-to-end for both due diligence and day-to-day advisory work, verifying a company’s legal state and surfacing actionable issues in real time. This role is crucial at a pivotal moment of rapid growth for Equall, as we scale our customer base and product, extending coverage across the venture and emerging companies ecosystem and expanding into private equity and M&A. Equall brings together leaders from legal, engineering, and AI to deliver transformative value, driven by a commitment to excellence and a desire to reshape corporate legal work.

Requirements

• JD, with at least 2 years of experience practicing ECVC law at a top-tier firm
• Deep experience running diligence and serving as day-to-day outside counsel to early-stage companies
• Strong command of venture financing mechanics, company formation, and related documentation
• Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work cross-functionally across a multi-disciplinary team
• Curiosity about how legal work can be systematized and improved, and how AI can be applied to corporate law

Responsibilities

• Execute agentic due diligence and advisory workflows (e.g., cap table tie-outs and governance review) within the Equall platform
• Partner with engineers and designers to encode legal processes, develop modeling and product logic, and define how outputs are presented
• Review system findings and conduct quality assurance testing, advising on both user experience and substantive legal performance
• Lead the development of additional ECVC or M&A modules, serving as product owner of new user workflows and sub-verticals
• Engage with law firm customers to understand their needs, translate their processes for the team, and incorporate their feedback into the product
