About The Position

Rapid Finance is seeking a Legal Document Reviewer to join their expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possesses a client-first attitude. The Legal Document Reviewer will be responsible for analyzing a high volume of documents, including case dockets and settlement documentation, ensuring accuracy and professionalism before court filings and execution of agreements. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage administrative tasks as needed. The Legal Team aims to maximize recoveries and provide innovative legal solutions with integrity and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed attorney in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably Maryland.
  • Immaculate attention to detail and precision in written communication.
  • Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as office equipment (scanner, fax, copy machine).
  • Comfortable taking direction and working in a team environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to weigh multiple factors to solve problems.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to diverse cultures.
  • Proven ability to plan and organize effectively, identify and correct errors, capture relevant details, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships, including effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from stakeholders.
  • Ability to succeed in dynamic environments requiring balancing competing priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and adapting to change.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing court filings drafted by the litigation team for errors and ensuring proper preparation for filing.
  • Analyzing case dockets to determine the correct course of action.
  • Reviewing drafted settlement agreements to ensure they satisfy all requested settlement terms.
  • Assisting the Senior Paralegal with managing the flow of documents for review and filing, and responding to high-priority items with urgency.
  • Aiding in the development of Legal Assistants by identifying repeated mistakes, areas for growth, and providing constructive feedback.
