About The Position

Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Attorney -Regulatory/Compliance to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in technical product compliance and interfacing with U.S. authorities such as NHTSA and FCC. Core Responsibilities include: Lead legal support for all U.S. and Canadian technical product compliance matters, with a focus on Quality-relevant departments and operational units. Serve as the primary legal interface with U.S. and Canadian regulatory authorities, including but not limited to NHTSA, FCC, and Transport Canada. Manage and support product recalls, field actions, and product integrity issues, ensuring timely and compliant resolution. Independently handle regulatory inquiries, investigations, and technical support requests from authorities, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning. Continuously monitor, analyze, and interpret evolving legal and regulatory frameworks in the U.S. and Canada, including legislative developments and enforcement trends. Collaborate with global colleagues on large scale/Global impact product integrity, homologation, and compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Active bar admission in the US
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a legal professional in a corporation, law firm or both
  • Strong knowledge of technical compliance, product integrity and product liability laws
  • Proven abilities in legal review of regulatory requirements and providing necessary guidance to all levels of an organization
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.
