Osler is seeking a highly developed and results-oriented Legal Counsel to join its Legal Affairs team. In alignment with Osler’s strategic direction, the Legal Counsel will provide a full spectrum of legal services across the hospital and support the team in maintaining and monitoring legal obligations of the hospital’s administrative and clinical departments with a focus on corporate/commercial work and health law. The successful candidate must possess sound judgment and highly analytical skills combined with a practical, solutions oriented and client centered approach. In addition, highly developed communication and research skills, demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in teams, including demonstrated consensus building skills and excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also support Osler’s Privacy team on privacy issues and freedom of information requests from a legal perspective. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel and is often the first point of contact for Managers, Directors and staff on a variety of legal issues.
