About The Position

Webflow is seeking a pragmatic, self-motivated employment attorney to advise its global workforce, primarily supporting Employee Relations and People teams. The role provides timely, practical, business-minded advice that helps the organization move quickly while thoughtfully managing legal risk. It calls for employment counseling and litigation experience, strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, and curiosity about supporting teams across jurisdictions, cultures, and time zones.

The position is remote-first in the United States, full-time, permanent, and exempt. It reports to the Associate General Counsel, Corporate. Base compensation depends on geographic zone and job-related qualifications: Zone A is $158,000–$190,000; Zone B is $148,000–$178,000; and Zone C is $140,000–$168,000. The role is also eligible for the company-wide bonus program, with target amounts varying by career level and payouts based on company performance.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of employment law experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house, with an interest in advice and counseling.
• Active membership in good standing of a State Bar and eligibility to practice in the jurisdiction where based.
• J.D. from a top-tier law school.
• Experience litigating and/or counseling on compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination, harassment, and retaliation laws; California-law analysis is ideally included.
• Strong problem-solving, judgment, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal topics clearly.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically, stay steady under pressure, manage complex workloads and shifting priorities, and advise multiple stakeholders.
• Resourcefulness, initiative, results orientation, high standards, and strong ethics.
• Ability to build trust with cross-functional partners and work collaboratively.
• Curiosity and openness to growth, including proactively embracing AI and building and applying fluency in emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day employment advice on HR practices, performance management, terminations, leaves of absence, investigations, and accommodations.
• Investigate and manage pre-litigation and litigation matters, develop early-resolution strategies where appropriate, and work with outside counsel when needed.
• Interpret employment policies and procedures and advise on state, federal, and international employment laws, translating legal requirements into practical guidance.
• Support a global workforce with advice that accounts for borders, cultures, and time zones.
• Partner with Employee Relations and People teams on employee complaints, investigations, performance management, and accommodations.
• Collaborate with Employment Legal and People teams to develop scalable processes that support compliance with applicable state, federal, and local laws.
• Monitor employment-law developments in U.S. jurisdictions and internationally, and identify emerging trends.
