This position will report to the Company’s Assistant General Counsel but will also work closely with other members of the Company’s Legal department, including the SVP, General Counsel, as well as the Company’s CEO. The position requires an articulate, self-motivated and well-organized professional with strong organization and interpersonal skills. The Legal Coordinator is responsible for coordinating administrative duties and will work with individuals at all levels across multiple business units in various jurisdictions. This person will thrive working independently and collaboratively with others.

Requirements

  • Solid work experience in a legal environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and take initiative using sound judgment.
  • Ability to produce a high quality and quantity of work, with strong grammatical skills, proofreading, and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Passion for working in a team environment, willing to help others, and comfortable with sharing work assignments.
  • Experience with managing corporate records and public registers.
  • Attention to detail, proof reading, and accuracy are required.
  • Solid work experience in a legal environment with sound understanding of corporate transaction documents.
  • Ability to be flexible, work with minimal supervision, and be internally motivated and resourceful.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience gained in an in-house legal department.

Responsibilities

  • Transmitting legal correspondence and communicating with internal and external stakeholders including seeking approvals and signatures on legal documents.
  • Managing invoicing, expense reports, and regulatory filings.
  • Coordinating the transmission of legal/corporate documents both internally and externally.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of Board, Committee, and shareholder meetings and related materials.
  • Assist with managing legal’s budget and reducing external spend.
  • Be involved in a variety of special projects and provide administrative support in connection with the above activities.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
