About The Position
Blackstone's Legal Department seeks an attorney for its Litigation & Investigations team. This role will report to the Head of Litigation and Investigations. Blackstone is the world’s largest alternative asset manager. Blackstone seeks to deliver compelling returns for institutional and individual investors by strengthening the companies in which the firm invests. Blackstone’s over $1.3 trillion in assets under management include global investment strategies focused on real estate, private equity, credit, infrastructure, life sciences, growth equity, secondaries and hedge funds.
Requirements
- J.D.
- Ideally 8+ years of experience working at a leading U.S. law firm and/or in-house department focused on litigation and investigations
- Must be a team player, willing to roll up sleeves and work with a variety of personalities in a dynamic environment
- Experience to exercise exceptional judgment, communicate succinctly, manage stakeholders, build consensus and independently manage projects essential
Responsibilities
- Manage broad range of litigation, regulatory enforcement and investigations matters from inception through resolution
- Oversee outside counsel, including scoping work and budgeting
- Advise internal clients on strategy and efficient resolution of disputes and regulatory matters
- Manage wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement of litigation and investigations processes, including knowledge management, reporting and use of technology
