About The Position

This position involves maintaining and organizing litigation materials, managing litigation processes, processing correspondence, and performing various clerical duties such as filing, copying, and assembling court packages. The role also includes disassembling and repairing hard copy records, sorting, scanning, and filing correspondence, printing and mailing packages to legal professionals and courts, performing quality checks, high-speed scanning for electronic conversion, operating high-volume machines, and performing binding and finishing work. Additionally, the Legal Clerk is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, staying updated on department policies and procedures, and communicating any changes to management and team members. This role also involves managing incoming correspondence between the legal team, clients, courts, and third parties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, PRANET, Application Extender
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple ongoing tasks
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Maintaining knowledge of current department policies and procedures and applying them as necessary
  • Updating department manager and team members about any recent changes
  • Managing incoming correspondence between the legal team, clients, courts, and third parties
