Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for experienced Legal Assistants to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of TennCare (TN TennCare) located in Nashville, TN. This is a hybrid position working from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. Legal Assistant Key Responsibilities will include: Determining individual and family eligibility for client's care programs. Assisting in coordinating and communicating schedules to internal/external clients. Conducting client interviews, collecting facts and information, and compiling case data to provide recommendations to an attorney. Timely management of casework, including proper documentation and case resolution. Providing legal research, analysis of legal papers, and drafting legal documents; documenting findings accurately. Working efficiently/effectively in multiple databases to extract information. Attending workgroup meetings and participating in discussions. Assisting leadership team, as necessary. Education Requirements and Skills Needed for Legal Assistant position: MUST have a bachelor's or associate degree. A background in Paralegal studies is preferred. Work experience in a legal environment is preferred. Customer service or call center experience is a plus. Proven technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.). Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet specific deadlines with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. Strong notetaking, email organization and distribution skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Other Important Information: The position is a hybrid one in downtown Nashville, TN. The contractor will work on-site and remotely based on the team's schedule. The position is a contract one for 12 months with an opportunity to be extended. Training is extensive, up to 6 weeks prescheduled, virtual/in-office (by supervisor request), and contractors must attend training every day to build proficiency. NO preplanned time off will be approved during training weeks . MUST be local to middle TN and able to work in the client's office in Nashville as needed.
