Located in beautiful Golden, Colorado, our campus offers convenient commutes and easy access to outdoor recreation. We are seeking a professional and experienced Legal Assistant to join our team. The Legal Assistant would provide administrative, organizational, and research support to our internal Legal/Research and Development team. This role would assist with document preparation and review, contract management, compliance, and other legal operations to ensure efficient and accurate legal processes across the organization. Hours – In office Monday through Friday 7:30-4:30

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal studies, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Business or another relatable field
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • 1-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, legal administration or experience in a relatable field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability and proven record of handling confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, document management systems, and email communications
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks
  • Basic understanding of legal terminology with the ability to communicate legal matters interdepartmentally

Responsibilities

  • Assist appropriate parties in drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, correspondences, and reports
  • Maintain organized legal files, databases, and document management systems
  • Track deadlines, filing, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate internal and external legal communications
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research as requested
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and supporting materials
  • Compile documentation for audits, ligation support, and internal investigations
  • Schedule and attend meetings
  • Maintain existing vendor/partnership relationships while establishing new partnerships as needed
  • Support Research and Development team
  • All other duties as assigned
