This role is responsible for the timely preparation, distribution, and review of various legal agreements, including franchise and product license agreements, exhibits, addenda, renewals, termination agreements, and notices of default and termination. The Legal Assistant will lead internal processes for the preparation of the annual franchise disclosure document, working with outside legal counsel and internal stakeholders. This position involves writing and revising contracts, maintaining revision history, facilitating discussions to reconcile issues, and communicating with parties to obtain executed documents. The role also includes identifying opportunities for procedural improvements in franchise and contract compliance, monitoring agreement terms, and notifying owners of upcoming terminations and renewals. A key responsibility is maintaining electronic and paper legal records for the Company and its subsidiaries, including governance documents, board minutes, and contracts. Additionally, the Legal Assistant will manage the employee stock program and related records, maintain professionalism and confidentiality, and accurately assess project requirements, communicating effectively with all parties involved. The position also involves reassessing and maintaining the file system and undertaking special projects as assigned.
