We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our Knoxville, TN office. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping attorneys and cases organized and on track. As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, you will provide critical support to attorneys and the legal team while helping ensure cases move forward efficiently and deadlines are met.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Legal Secretary in Personal Injury
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with legal software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional demeanor and excellent client-service skills

Responsibilities

Prepare, file, and e-file legal documents with state and federal courts
Manage attorney calendars, court dates, deadlines, and appointments
Draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents
Open new case files and ensure required documentation is completed
Communicate with insurance claim adjusters, opposing counsel, courts, and other interested parties
Maintain organized case files and legal records
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys as needed
Assist with coordinating day-to-day case activity and ensuring important deadlines are met
