Legal and Compliance Intern

GenworthRaleigh, NC
Hybrid

About The Position

This role is a strong opportunity for an undergraduate student who wants to gain hands-on experience in a corporate legal and compliance environment, learn how legal and regulatory work supports real business decisions, and see firsthand how a publicly-traded company operates from the inside. You will work closely with experienced attorneys and compliance professionals who provide practical guidance, feedback, and opportunities to take ownership of meaningful projects. You will contribute to work that has a direct connection to Enact's mission of helping more people achieve and sustain homeownership. As part of our team, you will do varied, meaningful work from the start. Your signature project will be helping to implement a company-wide contract management system — a highly visible initiative that will take you across the business, teach you real project management skills, and give you a rare inside view of how each part of the organization operates and connects. Alongside that, you'll research regulatory requirements, support policy validation, and help build next-generation tools that make our teams more efficient. We welcome applicants who are curious, organized, and eager to learn. Enact’s Internship Program provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in achieving business results while developing technical and professional skills. The internship program is a critical component of Enact’s talent pipeline as we look to interns to provide cutting edge ideas and skills that will drive business success. Enact invests time, energy, and resources to create a worthwhile experience for interns. Interns work on meaningful business projects, but beyond that, they will network directly with leaders throughout the company (all the way up to the CEO), attend teambuilding events with their internship cohort, connect with the community through volunteer opportunities (both on-site and off-site), and attend professional development workshops. It’s a unique internship experience that helps interns develop a network of peers and mentors who act as a source of constant engagement and guidance during the internship.
