About The Position

This is a full time, permanent role based in Chester, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax or Leeds. JOB TITLE: Legal Administrator SALARY: £30,201 LOCATION(S): Chester, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax or Leeds HOURS: Full-time, 35 Hours WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office. As a Legal Administrator, you’ll be supported to grow and advance through excellent training and progression opportunities. Full training will be provided to build knowledge of the more technical aspects of the role. Legal & Secretariat (L&S) is a forward-looking and innovative function, currently undertaking a programme of transformation to become ‘Future Ready.’ Our Legal Practice Management (LPM) team manages the operational model, modernises processes and data, and supports our lawyers to provide expert legal advice to businesses and functions across the Group. We are always looking for opportunities to deliver new ways of working across L&S to ensure that we are ‘Future Ready.’ You'll join the LPM team as a Legal Administrator, working within a group of colleagues supporting our legal teams. The work will involve a wide range of activities, all with the purpose of ensuring the smooth running and success of the legal teams. These will focus on administration processes, reporting and data management and working closely with our senior team supporting in their day-to-day tasks. You will also play a key role in our work to make Legal & Secretariat ‘Future Ready.’ The role offers a varied workload and plenty of opportunity for development.

  • Adaptable and proactive, with a strong willingness to learn new systems and technologies, (including AI tools such as Copilot) and contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and continuously improve business support processes to drive efficiency and consistency across the team
  • Act as a professional first point of contact for colleagues, handling a wide range of internal and external queries across all levels
  • Monitor shared inboxes and legal post, triaging incoming work and allocating queries and claims in line with agreed protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of legal matters, including case setup on PEGA, data management, reporting support, and document retrieval
  • Provide operational and administrative support to legal teams, including data processing, reporting, supplier contracts, invoicing, and cross-team coordination.
