The Justice Administrative Commission (JAC) seeks an experienced, highly organized Legal Administrator to lead the administrative operations of its Legal Section. The role supports the General Counsel and attorneys with administrative and litigation-related functions and supervises non-lawyer legal staff. The successful candidate will learn and implement technology solutions, train staff, and adapt work processes to improve efficiency and service delivery. JAC’s office is in Tallahassee, Florida. Flexible schedules and/or hybrid on-site and remote work options may be available to employees in good standing. The position is expected to be hired at or near the minimum salary, with training in the agency, Legal Section, and reporting positions, and gradual assumption of the full duties over the first year. A Level 2 state and national background check is required because the position has access to confidential legal and financial information.
