Position Summary The Legal Administrative Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the in-house consumer, privacy, health, regulatory and related litigation functions at Life Time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • 5 or more years of experience in supporting legal professionals (paralegals or attorneys) or working in a legal setting, including a law firm or in-house legal department.

  • Familiarity with utilizing legal AI tools (preferably HarveyAI)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and responds to requests submitted through legal email inboxes (including Life Time’s Legal and Privacy inboxes) under the direct supervision of paralegal(s) or attorney(s)
  • Assists in resolution of routine legal issues, including responding to subpoenas, assisting with discovery requests and collecting and analyzing data needed for litigation purposes under the direct supervision of paralegal(s) or attorney(s)
  • Assists in resolution of low-level escalated member issues (e.g., service animals, protection orders, involuntary terminations) under the direct supervision of paralegal(s) or attorney(s)
  • Conducts research on legal issues, including statutes, regulations, judicial decisions and legal articles, under direction of paralegal(s) and/or attorney(s)
  • Manages calendars of members of the practice area, including scheduling meetings with internal clients and external attorneys and calendaring deadlines and reminders
  • Drafts and revises template and non-template legal documents, including correspondence, contracts, or pleadings, incorporating legal, factual or other research
  • Assists with quarterly reporting and trend analysis regarding legal disputes
  • Assists with occasional administrative needs, such as printing/scanning/copying, coordinating travel, managing work-related expenses, onboarding of outside counsel into Life Time systems, review and approval of invoices and annual budgeting
